We offer an old fashioned approach to shed building, for customers living in Sydney and surrounding suburbs we offer a “do the lot” service from design, engineering, preparation of council Development applications, on site visits, concrete and excavation, delivery of kit and install of building.

We can also design and supply kit buildings with full job specific instruction manual throughout the majority of Australia. Due to our huge network of contacts, we can often put interstate customers in contact with builders and concreters closer to home.

Recently the Australian Steel Institute implemented its “Shed Safe”accreditation system to regulate the Australian steel building industry. ASI noticed not all shed sellers were complying with the Building Code of Australia when it came to design and engineering of sheds.Catastrophic weather conditions such as cyclone Larry had devastating effects on many steel buildings and sheds bringing to every ones attention the need for a regulatory authority to oversee what shed sellers were supplying to their customers.

To become an accredited “shed safe” supplier, a company has to pass rigorous testing of their engineering and design software, along with training and regular reviews of procedures. Capital Steel Buildings -South West is one of the few that were approved for accreditation from the many that applied. Effectively “Shed Safe” means that the Australian Steel Institute has done a lot of the leg work for customers shopping for a shed by sorting the good from the not so good. Any one thinking of building a shed should only use a “Shed Safe” accredited company.
